I am on a life-time journey of Health and Wellness. I knew from a young age that I wanted to be a Healer. I always thought I wanted to practice modern medicine, but have discovered my passion is Holistic Health. I'm a massage therapist, a chiropractor and a yogi-in-training. I find fulfillment in the work I do. My job is to help people find balance. It is very rewarding.

A few of my favorite things...

The first on my favorite things blog is probably one of my most favorite right now. Well it has been my most favorite for the past year. It is Core Power Yoga (CPY). I was introduced to CPY about a year ago by one of my best friends, Sasha. I was going through a pretty hard time and I think she knew I needed a distraction. I have done yoga in the past, but nothing like CPY. CPY incorporates a well-rounded approach to health and wellness. I am a big fan of the yogasculp and corepower 2 classes. If you are a fellow yogi like myself, you should definitely look for a CPY studio near you. We currently have 3 in the San Diego area (Hillcrest, Point Loma and PB). Check out more about this amazing studio at http://www.corepoweryoga.com/.

Running in 2009

AFC 2009
So I wouldn't call my self a runner even though I think I might have the trait somewhere in my genes (Father ran in highschool and college), but I started 2009 out with a "running start!" I am currently on a role to complete the Triple Crown this year. Yes, that would involve running 3 of San Diego's finest 1/2 Marathons (Carlsbad, La Jolla and AFC). I also threw in the Rock-n-Roll Relay Race (so much better than a whole marathon) and the AFLAC Iron Girl 10K. Who knows what else is in store for my running career this year? I don' know if I quite ready to do a full marathon just yet...we'll just have to wait and see.

Carlsbad 1/2 2009

Rock N Roll 2009
La Jolla 1/2 2009

Yesterday I completed the Triple Crown by running the AFC 1/2 Marathon. What an amazing feeling! I never thought I would enjoy running like I do. I have to admit that I am rather sore today and I could afford to drop a few pound before my next event. Even an extra five can make a difference in how your joints feel! Congrats to all the Triple Crown finishers. I'm looking forward to next year and doing it all over again. Anyone care to join me ;)
