The Real "29"

The past year and a half have been a time to remember for me and some of my closest friends. Yes, that's right we have all gracefully moved into our third decade of life. Well some not so graceful than others (that would be ME!), but I have learned to embrace being 30 and am now looking forward to what lies ahead for me. I think at one point in my life I thought I had everything planned out. First comes college, then work, then graduate school, marriage and eventually children all by 30! Well, sometimes life doesn't always go as planned (I have definitely learned that in the past year and a half). It took me going from what I thought was the top of my "game" to the near bottom to learn some valuable lessons. My climb back hasn't always been easy and I have faced many obstacles along the way.I guess I can relate to the lyrics in "The Climb". There's always gonna be another mountain, it's not how fast I get there because these are the moments that I am going to remember for the rest of my life. I will always remember the ones who have stood by and supported my journey from the beginning. So here is to another 10 years of great friendship and memories and being 29 all over again!
