I am on a life-time journey of Health and Wellness. I knew from a young age that I wanted to be a Healer. I always thought I wanted to practice modern medicine, but have discovered my passion is Holistic Health. I'm a massage therapist, a chiropractor and a yogi-in-training. I find fulfillment in the work I do. My job is to help people find balance. It is very rewarding.

LUCKY

lucky I find that when I need an escape from city life (San Diego), I end up in Boise. Why Boise…??? Well its my secret hiding place (not so secret anymore) that still gives me the feeling of being back home in Alaska. Since I have been going to Idaho (started visiting in 2000), I have met some amazing Idahoans. It is also home to one of my best college buddies (DD). One of the things that I love about Boise is that I can be at the lake, mountains, river in a matter of minutes. Growing up in Alaska, I also experienced this same high when I was camping, hiking, boating…it’s an amazing feeling to be in the middle of Nature. This past trip to Boise was last minute and a much needed escape. I woke up Friday morning, booked a flight and was chilling with Darc by that evening. We enjoyed a day on the boat at Lucky Peak (she and my new friend Brian water-skied). It’s kind of strange that I had to go to Boise to finally enjoy a day in the sun. The next day we spent the afternoon white water rafting down the South Fork of the Payette (Thanks to Ben Florence and Bear Valley River Rafting). I have to admit I was terrified at first (you would have thought I already had done something like this in Alaska…nope!) I am so glad I didn’t cave on the rafting trip, it was truly an amazing experience. My last day was spent catching up with old and new friends…and wondering if I really could make the move up north ;) I realized, coming back into San Diego, how LUCKY I really am. I love where I live, but its always nice to get away and spend quality time with good people. I know I always have Idaho (and the whole Northwest, for that matter) to visit, but for now my heart and life is hear in San Diego. Thanks Darc for an amazing weekend. I love my new friends (Big Mike, Brian and the guy with the big truck who flies Blackhawk helicopters). I can’t wait for the winter when we can hit the slopes!
